Optimount Giclée
The original artwork is a commissioned piece created for Lifesong for Orphans—a nonprofit dedicated to supporting vulnerable children around the world. Flourishing reflects the hope found in Isaiah 61 which tells the story of God bringing beauty from ashes, comfort to the brokenhearted, and restoration to those who mourn. The chapter describes a powerful image: we become “oaks of righteousness,” planted by the Lord to display His splendor.
The tree presented in this piece is strong and glorious, but its roots are planted in a dark and rocky place. A beam of light pierces the tree, creating a cross-section of light.
Out of hardship, we are strengthened. Light becomes a purifying source of hope in the midst of darkness.
